Paris: Getting aroundDo not bother bringing a car into Paris. Parking is expensive if you can find a space. Driving is aggressive, to put it mildly. And you will miss out on many of the unexpected sights you can see when walking through this relatively compact city. Most of the time the Metro is the way to go. It is quick, pretty safe and cheap. A single ticket costs just over $1 and a book of ten about $8. There are also a variety of passes, some of which include admission to galleries and museums. When you arrive at Roissy-Charles-de-Gaulle airport do not bother with one of the slow, unreliable taxis. Catch the RER B train instead then take a taxi from the stations St-Michel or Gare du Nord.
