Rome: Getting around

Leonardo da Vinci airport is a long way from downtown. The train is generally a better choice than one of the extortionate taxis. Forget hiring a car. The spirit of the Roman chariot race is still alive and parking is impossible. Many of the attractions are within easy walking distance of each other and you'll see far more of the city that way.
